Game crashed, reload reset my character.

My game crashed when first entering the End. I got a few seconds in, and then it froze and I had to restart the xbox one itself, as no buttons worked. When I reloaded, I had none of my gear, nor any of my levels, but I spawned at my bed. What happened, and is there a fix?
