Bamboo destroys bedrock upon growing

The bug

You can destroy bedrock easily with bamboo. This could be used to go onto the nether roof, as seen in the screenshot attached.

How to reproduce

1. Place one bamboo, and a bedrock block above.
2. Bone meal the bamboo.
   → Bamboo grows and destroys the bamboo
