Wont keep selected texture

When ever i try to select a texture pack. it loads it in and it allows me to use it but if i exit minecraft and go to another game and go back into minecraft. i have to reselect tha texture pack again. its done that since update aquatic. and sometimes the texture packs dont even download after purchase
