cant place bamboo, chorus plant and chorus fruit in water (but you can place water in bamboo)?

Yesterday, Mojang has released a 18w50a of 1.14 (Java Edition), it had a secret feature (no in changelog) all redstone items, skulls and etc, but you put a bamboo in water (Java Edition). But in Bedrock Edition, you cannot place a bamboo, chorus plant and chorus fruits inside a water, but you can place water in bamboo, chorus plant amd chorus fruit. Watch the video...
