1.8.0 running 4 times as slow!

Hello, I just wanted to report that the new 1.8 is running three to four times as slow on my notebook PC. I have the render distance turned down to 20 chunks (the minimum) and that hasn't helped. It has been running 1.7.1 VERY nicely (even with a 32x32 pack) and I don't understand how adding 2 mobs and 2 blocks have slowed it down SOO MUCH. 

 

My specs are: 

-quad core Pentium 1.60ghz (boost to 2.80ghz)

-4gb ram

-integrated graphics (not enough to game, enough to minecraft)

• a 500gb ssd
