Bodyguard Achievement broken on Nintendo Switch platform

A recent update has made the Bodyguard achievement unobtainable on the Nintendo Switch platform. No one has unlocked it since October 11th. Multiple players (myself included) have tried to get it with a pumpkin, carved pumpkin and a jackolantern without success.
