Items from crafting grid disappearing when force quiting minecraft

Summary: 

If you force quit Minecraft (double-home and swipe up on iphone, get disconnected from a realm, etc.) while having items in a crafting grid (2x2 or 3x3), after you join the world back  all the items that were in the crafting grid will be gone. Survival and creative, you can loose shulkerboxes like that.

Steps to reproduce:

• Join a world
• Put some items in a crafting grid
• Force quit Minecraft
• Join the world again

Observed result:

Items from the grafting grid are gone (disappeared, not just returned to inventory).

Expected result:

Items returned to the inventory, or in case the inventory is full dropped on the ground.
