All of my armor vanished but didn’t lose anything else

I was running around exploring with full set of diamond enchanted armor. After a couple of in world days where I slept through the night I noticed all my armor had vanished. I had not been fighting and I couldn’t see it all wearing out at the same time. Left my character quite vulnerable
