Minecraft failed to load previously

Ive been having  this problem for about a week now. We have used Minecraft for over 2 years but recently upon opening the app, it says Mojang and then Minecraft and then almost opens but returns to the home screen. There’s no updates available and I’ve closed the app and restarted the iPad. Still I can’t get into Minecraft. Please fix.
