Frequent SEGVs on MC_SERVER thread

Here are crash logs from frequent SEGVs on MC_SERVER thread that one of my sons keeps seeing.  We can't tell what about his world is triggering these, but it seems to happen much more often on that world, enough to make that world unusable.  Not seen before 1.6.1.
