Xbox One version crashing on startup

I was playing minecraft normally, quit, and when  I came back to it a few hours later the game will struggle to boot up and will crash (freeze) on "Syncing user data" and not move. The music will loop a few times before going completely silent if it's playing. I've tried booting it up offline and uninstalling and reinstalling the game. I cannot do anything internally because I can't even access Minecraft.
