Aquatic background causing freeze

Rotating vanilla aquatic background freezes, also freezes interface movement.

Used 'Natural Texture Pack', which changes background, to test. 

Started up game with internet, no freezing.

Started up game without internet, no freezing.

Switched back to vanilla without internet, freezing.
