minecraft not launching on xbox one

I purchased an xbox one s with the digital minecraft package and have installed minecraft and the explorers pack but these have not worked at all, this was purchased in June and first used in July. The game is installed but does not launch past the mojang logo. I have contacted microsoft a lot of times now over this and have tried everything that they have suggested but nothing has worked.
