Piston block swapper unreliable

When making a block swapper for redstone contraptions, I noticed that it breaks for no reason. It seems very unreliable, and would either work, break while extending the left piston, or the bottom piston. I have only tried on the nintendo switch edition 1.5.3, and windows 10 1.6.0.30 beta.
