Can’t join my Nintendo switch friends.

My Nintendo switch friends were hosting a while world that excepted Microsoft and Nintendo friends. I wanted to join, but after trying to join, it said disconnected from server. My friends can’t join my either. I’ve tried many times and it doesn’t work.
