Mobs make baby sounds when spawned by spawn eggs

When you spawn a mob with a spawn egg, it will make a high-pitched sound of that mob (as if it was a baby), then switch back over to adult. This also applies to mobs without baby states. I tested this in a realm and a normal world in Creative mode, if it matters.
