Extreme Game Problem.

Hello Mojang.
I recently paid and downloaded Minecraft from the AppStore to my IPhone 5s.

PROBLEM =
As soon as i create a world in survival mode (SinglePlayer) and the game begins, my character cannot simple destroy blocks or damage creatures. Everything else works perfectly exept this. When I try to destroy say a dirt block, absolutely nothing happends no matter how many times I hold down my finger or tap the screen. But the characters arm is moving and the sound is telling me that ”I am missing my target” or ”hitting in open air”. I removed Minecraft from my phone and re-installed it twice. Same problem exists.. How shall this be solved?
