the inventory and entities on the screen disappear

I was in a normal, quiet environment after I chopped a block in the water and the inventory disappeared.You can not see my character or entities can only be seen if they have an object and it only happens in a range close to where the error happened and every time I open the world and I'm in that range it happens again
