A trident is constantly in my face without being picked up, I cant build me redstone stuff.

I threw a trident with loyalty in creative and i moved out of the area where it would be loaded upon hitting a block, when I came back into that set of chunks the trident goes to me but I never am able to collect it so it is constantly in my face.
