Freezing mobs and doors

When I attempt to go through a double door using pressure plates the doors dont respond so i have to manually open them. Mobs freeze in midair while being hit. Chests take a while to open. If I accidentally tap the Recents key and go back into the game either the textures look extremely glitched or the entities wont show up.
