Texture Packs Not Working

Texture packs are not working properly on the new updated release of Minecraft on the Nintendo Switch. Newly bought texture packs from the in-game store or ones currently owned all give the same pink/black checkered images. Texture packs included with worlds bought from the in-game store appear to function properly.
