My version is 1.6.0.1 in the beta and I can’t seem to join friends. I play on Xbox but still bedrock version of Minecraft. Everyone else’s version is always behind me. I feel like a bug has caused me to get updates faster than I should

My version shows 1.6.0.1 even thought all my friends are version 1.4.2, I don’t get it. Also I can’t join my friends games because it says cannot join outdated server. Also I just tried again to join my friends game but this time it forced me out of Minecraft. I have tried deleting and re-installing the game. Nothing has worked.
