Water flows through waterlogged blocks when they shouldn't

Water goes through every waterlogged block (with the exception of slabs and stairs) when it shouldn't. For example, a closed trapdoor/door should block the water, but it passes right through it without any problem. Same with daylight sensors and other things that should block the water.
