Going back to Minecraft from the background apps drawers glitches the game

When I open the background apps drawer and go to Minecraft, some stuff in the game is glitched. Items don't appear in the hand or will look weird, dirt will look like a glitchy block, and the saving screen after exiting a world will glitch. The Hide Hand setting is off. It also happens when I turn off my phone and then go back to Minecraft. My device is a Samsung Galaxy J7 running Android 7.0.
