Chunks disappear on overworld after coming back from end dimension

This happened after I finished defeating the dragon at end dimension, as soon a I skip the end credits and back to the overworld 1 or more chunks of block have gone missing from top to bedrock revealing the void. The world I played was survival w/ commands enabled so when this happened I just switch to creative to see the damage on my world.
