I have windows 10 version of minecraft the recent aqua update has frozen my animals in sitting position

Since the very recent update the one with the Aqua theme which I installed yesterday 16 May 2018, I went in to tap my pets from the sitting position and they wont move - they are now stuck in this mode - any idea?
