DOES IT NEED TO RAIN EVERY 3-5 MINUTES!?!?!?

PLEASE Mojang...

It is raining on our world every 3-5 minutes!

Does it need to do this?

It is debilitating!  Every time it rains we have to turn off the game or "sleep."

It gets very annoying!

We can't see 10 blocks ahead of us in the rain, it is catastrophic!

I understand having some ambience, but this is unplayability! We can't see the world!
