Block glitch

Dear Mojang, due to this issue I am not able to play survival worlds. When I was mining I noticed I wasn't picking anything up. When I looked down it looked as if the block didn't drop anything when I mined it. I was mining coal with a stone pickaxe so it should have. I also noticed that in some angles the dropped block would appear so I tried picking it up again and it didnt work. I mined about 5 coal and managed to pick up one when I looked at a specific angle and tried picking it up. This bug is really annoying and I hope you can fix it asap. Thank you.
