My Xbox live account freezes my minecraft after about 5 minutes of logging in

When I opened the game one day to play online with some friends I expected my Xbox live account to log in and I could play with my friends for a hour. But instead when I got into the world and started to play my minecraft froze. The only way I can play on my iPhone 5 now is without using my Xbox account.I have had this issue for months now but I can't stand it much longer.
