Can not access hotbar from inventory - Norse Mythology Mash-Up

When in creative mode, when I select an item in my inventory, I can not place it in the hotbar. I can’t select anything on my hotbar while the inventory is open. My friend is also experiencing this on her android using the same version of the game. It is only on the Norse mythology resource pack I think. v1.2.14
