Minecraft crashes when opening one of my worlds

After a recent update, opening one of my worlds crashes me to the iOS home screen. I have no resource or behavior packs turned on.

During the "Generating world" screen, the music stops and the speaker makes a static noise, then the game crashes and dumps me on the home screen.

I have tried copying the world, changing from creative to survival, turning cheats on/off, etc. No luck.
