Slabs self stack when placed vertically spaced out

When placing a slab against a wall (ground level) it's fine, but when you go place it several block above ground (above previous slab but leaving plenty of space) they self stack and form a full block on the ground..

I have noticed that too.

This ticket has been marked as a duplicate of MCPE-1161, in favor of the better description/information provided.

how you deal with duplicates feels like chaos

like why do you keep the one with the smaller ID(I’ll call it ID) sometimes

and keep the one with the bigger ID sometimes

why?
