New-tag on the Minecraft Store/Shop only updates after restarting the game

After the update of the client, I checked out all the new items.
Then I exited the store, but the "New" tag was still showing.
I checked ALL the offers, really carefully checking for any new mark. I did not find any.
I finally gave up, closed the shop, closed the client and started it again.
Only THEN was the New tag gone.
