Having some sort of issue with WiFi and game crashing

When I go to open and launch Minecraft, my game just stops and pauses on a white screen. First, I’ll be on my home screen. Then I will tap on Minecraft. For about a split second it will say Minecraft by Monjang. Then the logo disappears and fades into this white screen. It stays like this for about a minute or until I either exit the game, the game crashes, or, unless I disconnect from the WiFi. From which, by disconnecting from the WiFi, the game responds as normal. My internet is certainly not the fastest in the world, but I never had this problem until I just updated the game recently. This issue is happing on my iPad Pro 12.9 2017, my sisters 2017 iPad, my iPhone X and my other sisters phone. Please look into this. I cannot play in multiplayer mode at all and my game just feels slow with this issue.
