Crashes don't reset global resources

I have a broken resource pack in my game and I want to deactivate it, but my global resource menu doesn't show it and the delete button doesn't work in the storage menu so I tried to force a crash. I used a redstone contraption that crashed my game but they didn't reset. Please either make a "reset resources" button in settings or make it detect crashes again. IDK if this was intended but WE NEED IT FIXED. I really really really really don't want to delete and redownload Minecraft again.
