Online Splitscreen Doesn't Work

Sure, I know that you can't play splitscreen on servers, but that's not what this bug is talking about. I'm saying that whenever I join an online world, realm or not, and somebody joins in slitscreen, that second controller doesn't control the second player, it controls the first player, just like the first controller. So you have two controllers controlling the first player while the second player just sits still. Splitscreen works fine in single player, it's just online when it does that!
