iPhone version keeps crashing

I was playing Minecraft on my phone and just playing as usual. I was walking outside of my house and a creeper was there, it blew up so all my stuff fell into water. I went under the water to grab my items & that’s when my issue started happening. The game will let me play for like a minute or two and then it will just freeze the screen. I close out of the app & go back in & the cycle repeats again. I’ve tried resetting my phone and it didn’t make a difference.
