Minecraft Pocket Edition refuses to run on my Samsung Galaxy s8

Hi, so Minecraft Pocket Edition works fine for my Samsung Galaxy s5 but when I open it on my Samsung Galaxy s8 it crashes almost as soon as I arrive on the main menu. I can press all of the buttons and everything but it still ends up blacking out. The app just closes on me. No error, no warning, nothing. It closes every time I open it.
