Nether Portal fast traveling ain't working

on the xbox 360 version u se to play i use to use the nether as a way to fast travel but on here i realize it doesn't work but really i am on my xbox one though but phone and xbox live minecraft is the same version so yeah i am on my xbox 1 one but when i build a nether portal in the nether it sends me back to the first portal i made same goes in the overworld even please add this to this version back to minecraft i like that fast traveling like that basically how the first season of minecraft story mode how they escaped from the wither storm through the nether please add it so i can make my base better please
