Freeze Glitch

If I open Minecraft on my phone it seems to run smooth. But no more than two minutes into gameplay, Minecraft completely freezes. And I don’t just mean freezes for a few seconds. It freezes so bad that the app shuts itself down. Then I can’t reopen it for another 5 minutes. After that it’s the same glitch all over again. I tried deleting and reinstalling it but that only solved the problem for a little while. Restarted my phone too. Same issue. I love playing Minecraft, but it makes me sad to not be able to play it because of this annoying glitch. Please help!!!
