Tnt won’t explode no matter what I do

I was trying to get rid of a large chunk of land so I placed tnt and I did everything I could to get it to go off, and it wouldn’t go off. I tried redstone blocks and torches, fire, pressure plates, relogging, rebooting, restarting, everything, but it still won’t go off. Please help. Thanks.
