Can't eat food

What I expected to happen was...:
Eating the food

What actually happened was...:
The food just titled forward and came back and I never ate.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Turn Peaceful Mode off
2. Get hurt
3. Eat some food like meat, bread, or something
4. You can't eat the food.
