Complete App Crash even after reinstall - After selecting realms 30day trial

Minecraft crashes completely (process termination) after I attempted to activate a 30day trial of Realms.

I logged out/in , restarted pc, updated GPU drivers - still crashing shortly after the main menu appeared.

I was able to avoid a crash by disconnecting my network.

I re-enabled network and examined app startup using fiddler and found the last network call before crash to the URL: https://collections.mp.microsoft.com/v6.0/collections/query

The URL successfully returned JSON data before the app crash including "inAppOfferToken":"realms.consumable.30days.10player.trial",

I added a hosts file entry to send collections.mp.microsoft.com to 127.0.0.1 but re-enabled all other networking, and the app does not crash yet
