Cannot see full map when in vertical splitscreen on Xbox One

When playing 2-player splitscreen (vertical split) on Xbox One with all default display settings, and a map is held as the main item, the left 1/3 to 1/2 of the map is off the screen can cannot be seen. If the map is in the offhand, it can't be seen at all.
