Minecraft app has a shadow/blurry screen

When I open the Minecraft app there is a blurry shadow over the home screen and I can't see the start button so I can't play. It's been like this for the last 2 weeks. I have uninstalled it numerous times and nothing. I have attached a photo of what the home screen looks like.
