Sound issue

Im using my headset from my xbox and when i dont use it for windows 10 minecraft i cant hear a thing and my volume on minecraft sound and laptop are all up and i still cant hear minecraft's sounds at all. this started after I updated minecraft windows 10 on my laptop.
