App crashes within 1 minute of joining a world

When loading up one of my worlds, it lets me spawn but within a minute of playing it either goes completely black then crashes or freezes then crashes. Also within the short amount of joining, the game is extremely laggy. I have tried altering the performance of the app such as brightness and other HD functions, but these did not make a difference. This has made me unable to play the game.
