Can nologer place blocks in a line while holding xbox controller trigger

When laying parths or bridging across areas, We used to be able to crouch face backward look at the edge of the block we were standing on and press and hold left trigger and slowly walk backwards the game would lay blocks out automatically as we revealed the next empty edge.

This no longer works we have to release and repress the trigger for each and every block we lay now. This is a most anoying bug.
