Lag and poor frame rate

Ever since the last update on Xbox One a few weeks ago the game is VERY laggy, VERY choppy, and has a very low frame rate. You can only move a few blocks before the game lags/jumps to catch up. The game does not render correctly and sometimes takes minutes to render after loading a saved game. The game is virtually unplayable. Nothing has been improved and I know this is not just an issue for me, but for all of Minecraft's dedicated Xbox One player base.
