Hunger Bar not depleting (monsters spawning; not peaceful; 10 player realms)

I started my 10 player realms free trial, and everything was running smoothly until I realized that I wasn't losing hunger. The difficulty was on Normal and monsters were spawning, but my hunger wasn't going down at all
